I love how it harkens back to like 1500's Late Middle Ages Surreal engravings too like very creative, and like you said Rudnick popped off with this one. The typefaces- my god. And the CD packaging, because that's like his bread and butter. Not to mention the companion EP's, "The Station/We'll Take It" and "Love in the Time of Lexapro", really creates a universe of musical lore to experience.

What a fucking work of genius this is! Age Of is one of those very rare, once-in-a-blue moon albums that makes a serious attempt at transcending music. (Personally I don't think Age Of succeeds at this, but damn is it a good try) This album oozes the abstract, but there are still moments in which the album uses basic elements we find undoubtedly familiar in 'traditional' music. Despite these moments, I feel the album is trying very hard to reject any preconceived notions of what music should sound like, and has at it. Creating an arena of sonic clusterfuckery and nonsensicality in which it's the listener's job to find music. This is what makes Age Of such a glorifying listen. Age Of is fucking magnificent and definitely worth the hard work it takes to crack it.

Last three pieces are just great. If this is the age of bondage I'm happy to be there.

Really not sure of this one. I have a feeling collaborating has diluted the OPN magic I loved about every other release of his
