I will never forget buying this cd in a fucking Sam Goody in the Summer of 2004. Musically, it was a life changing album for me. I love the rawness of their earlier albums and I can understand how one might prefer that to the polished sound presented here but I think this is an amazing album. From Orchid to Watershed, I really feel like each albums songwriting fit with the production. Morningrise would not succeed if it sounded like Deliverance and vice verse. Each album is its own entity and everything is catered to that, in my opinion.

I actually really like the 2015 remix/remaster of this album. The rhythm guitars were a tad low in the mix but I almost liked certain songs more in it than the first time around, which is pretty amazing considering how phenomenal this album was already.

Master's Apprentices doesn't want to scrobble for me if I have listened to it from my phone. Everything else does. Dams lastfm simple scrobbler!

This album is among my favourites for good reason, it has brilliant heavy riffs, the acoustics give the listener a moment of clarity after (probably) excessive headbanging, and Lopez shows some of his best drumming on this album. With each song being over 10 minutes (except "For Absent Friends"), each song is its own musical journey.
