Decent album indeed. Much better than previous one: I can't really stand Monsters album, it's soulless for the most part. With a few nice surprises tho. Optical on the other hand has same vibe as earlier outputs from Orbital, it's interesting and creative. Maybe a bit onoriginal, but not bad in any way (even those few trappy tracks are not awful).

Thoroughly enjoying this album!! I like some tracks more than others sure, but I don't dislike any of them. Love it!

have preordered all the various versions, had to as a huge Orbital fan :) the album is pretty nice, classical Orbital, but also not at the same time. Day One, The New Abnormal, Requiem For The Pre-Apocalypse, Home, The Crane, Year Of The Bat and Lost In Time are my favorites. Are You Alive?, Dirty Rat and Ringa Ringa are also great, but i listened to them bazilion times as singles, so mostly skipping for now. all those except Lost In Time are Paul's works, and its really as it was 8:58 next album. on the other hand You Are The Frequency, What A Surprise and Moon Princess are all Phil's works and it just doesnt belong under the Orbital name at all, i have to say, i skip these almost every time. not a bad tracks in general, but not Orbital. just Lost In Time is great. also this is a 1st time they write music separately, i think its not a good sign...

A decent album. It has it’s better and weaker spots, but overall it’s worth a listen and I’ll definitely revisit this piece very often in the future. Best tracks for me: Ringa Ringa, Day One, Dirty Rat, Requiem For The Pre-Apocalypse (this one quite surprised me in a positive Way!) Weaker ones: Home, What a Surprise, Moon Princess

I agree with everything. Only if there's a track that really surprised me in this album it would not be "Requiem..", but "Home". I'd definitely exclude "Home" from 'weaker ones' and better add there "You Are the Frequency" (which is somewhat annoying, if you ask me). And I'd also add "Are You Alive" to 'best tracks'; but in some ways it's alike to 'Home', which explains why you didn't like it very much as well.)

I believe they get automatically imported from MusicBrainz, and in this case it imported an early revision or something along those lines, and that was it. It's not gonna re-import the tracklist once it has it. I assume, anyway.
