Zoonie, as far as I am concerned this music stands on its own. Being already in my late 30's at the time of the great guitar band/electronic music cross-fertilisation on the mid-90's I had no desire to get off my tits on E (did it with other stuff years before, had enough) but I still loved the music, especially if it had a lot of headfuckery in it, like the Orb f'rinstance. I could never get the hang of all the genres and sub-genres, it was all just music to me, some I loved, some I didn't. May have to check out Holy Fuck for the name alone

Was this kind of music awesome because it was so inventive and unique in time, or puyrely because it was unique in time and reflected everyone getting off their tits on E? I must say, I do think Orbital and the Chems in particular were just bloody brilliant, and I'm always searching for anything new that is as good - there's barely anything. Although, I have found Holy Fuck to be entirely incredibly brilliant and in the same .... mind blowing type of mindset. Less 'nice' ;)
