Regal, and it no longer feels overly lengthy to me. Possibly their most ambitious, and that's saying a lot.

Great album, although a bit too long. I love how they incorporated that middle eastern-folk influences, it makes really peculiar atmosphere. [2] They definitely upped the folk influence for this album, the acoustics sound simply gorgeous.

One of the best album of the year. An unbelievable mix of different sounds. [3]

There's a lot of familiar trappings of progressive metal going on in Mabool that were outgrown on ORwarriOR, not to mention the incredible contribution of the Nazareth Orchestra that is far beyond the arrangements on Mabool. Better songwriting, better riffs, better playing.

Orphaned Land proves they are one of the most consistent bands in progressive metal. Can't wait for the next one, great stuff.

Maybe we could see the end of February before people decide how it sits within the rest of the OL catalogue.

"hey hey, this album is not the creation of steven wilson! he just mixed it!"... errrrrm where did you get the idea that Wilson didn't produce it? And you're exceptionally naive if you think that if he ONLY mixed it he would have zero influence on the songwriting. Listen to "M I". Listen to the intro of "The Path Part I" and tell me those don't sound like Opeth songs. Very Wilson-influenced Opeth songs.

The "fragments put together" criticism is such bullshit. [2] I respect one's opinion, but I really think this album is perfect as it is.

I'm glad everyone shouting here has realized that musical taste is an opinion. If you think this is their best album, or the best album ever, all the power to you. The most wonderful thing about music, is it's ability to capture you. And it captures everyone differently. Let's not be ignorant towards other peoples tastes in music.
