FLEX MUSIX is OsamaSon’s sophomore mixtape and his second offering in 2023, following the July 21 release of Osama Season. The mixtape is executively produced by Rok.
OsamaSon revealed that he was working on a new mixtape subsequently after the release of his debut mixtape, teasing snippets for songs such as “3x,” “Me When,” and “Kills,” among others.
FLEX MUSIX’s original release date of November 24, 2023, was initially confirmed by OsamaSon in the comments section of a post he made to his alternate Instagram account. On that date, however, he revealed in a Q&A held on his Discord server that the mixtape would be released two weeks later on December 8, 2023. This was due to his desire to perfect the project as much as possible and to ensure a solid body of work.
OsamaSon released a trailer for FLEX MUSIX the day after, which revealed its tracklist and featured snippets for the songs “For Da Flex,” “Nothing,” and “Uno.”
On November 29, 2023, “3x” was previewed in full via SOUND 42.
On December 6, 2023, OsamaSon would release exclusive Flex Musix merch which consists of two highly anticipated tee’s designed by StunMic. That same day, OsamaSon would release the official trailer for the album confirming that the album would release on December 8, 2023.
