“Peach Pit” by the band Peach Pit is a song about summer love. The narrator describes his ongoing romance with his lover, who is seemingly soft and sweet on the outside, like a peach, but on the inside she hides her deepest thoughts and feelings in her pit, or emotional walls. Even after a whole summer, the narrator does not get to truly know her.
