Biography
Pedro Bastos Gouveia (born 8 November, 1992 in V. N. Famalicão, Portugal) is a young musician, singer-songwriter who studies Medicine at the Medical Faculty of Oporto.
Best known for his skilled bass guitar techniques, he also plays keyboards and acoustic guitar.
Gouveia was born in a family of music-lovers and soon he played with them and had music classes to improve his keyboards and guitar skills. He wrote a few songs then(none of them ever released) and played some concerts.
Early, he started listening to some classic rock bands like Metallica, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Guns n’ Roses , U2 , Moonspell . Developing his sense of music, he listened to alternative bands and some hard rock/metal too, trying to learn more and more about the music world. At 15 he started listening to alternative/art artists like Radiohead, his favourite band until today.
At 18 he moved to Oporto and became more envolved in creating his own songs.
They are the mirror of his artistic sense, having clear influences of Radiohead and Thom Yorke, putting together the sounds of guitars, keyboards, bass and some laptop too.
