I saw Phil first in 1979 (?) at a Mennonite high school in Lancaster, PA. We got there late and the concert was sold out.... But Phil and Paul Clark sent someone out to see who was still waiting in line.... There were about 40 of us and they both graciously agreed to put on a concert just for the 40 of us... what a great concert it was... He is a wonderful musician and person.... :)

Phil Keaggy's music represents my childhood more than anyone else's. My dad was a big Keaggy fan and would play his music all the time. I remember laying in bed listening to Beyond Nature on my portable CD player. I didn't understand how impressive Keaggy was until I started listening to other guitar players, he really is one of the greats. Someday I will listen through his massive back catalogue.

Keaggy fans, I am trying to remember the name of a song that Phil wrote about wives and husbands . Not sure when it was wrote. I just remember listening to it probably in the 80's and 90's. I know that's not much to go on. I really need to find it for an important message for my wife. Would really appreciate your suggestions.

if Gospel music needs a cornerstone of talent, someone with a unique gift and a legendary reputation look no further then the always dependable Phillip Keaggy. He knows a great song, he knows how to make it his own and he leaves you refreshed and appreciative of his insightful interpretations. and like wine, he gets better with age...

What A Day, Love Broke Through, The Master And The Musician, Town To Town, How The West Was One, (Crimson And Blue is worth a listen)-- amazing and essential guitar albums. He's released some stinkers, too. But nobody sounds like him, and when he's good, he's the best. If you like your rock blended with classical and hints of LSD memories, like Steve Howe, PK's your man. And when he sings he sounds like Paul McCartney!

He really does unify people with a lot of different tastes. I usually don't listen to much instrumental guitar, but he's just so good I can even listen to the instrumental albums! He does so many other genres, too. One super talented musician.

It amazes me the diversity of fans Mr Keaggy has. :) \m/ I'm a Prog/Death Metalhead who listens to things like Death and Opeth, some are Country fans, some Classic Rock, some Contemporary Christian, Blues, Jazz Classical, you name it. I thank God for giving this man this amazing talent to inspire and bring peace and enjoyment to so many people of so many different flavors. :)
