Biography

From her full name Philippine Zadéo, Philippine was born on April 4, 1998 in Saint-Claude in the Jura department. The Jurassian however does not have the opportunity to discover her hometown for a very long time. When she was three, she took a plane with her family to Canada. On the land of Céline Dion and Garou ("Notre-Dame de Paris" for the youngest of you), Filipina begins to learn the piano. Then she returned to France at the age of 8. It was in our country that Philippine discovered a passion for singing and that she gradually decided to follow her musical destiny. At 14, she wrote and recorded her first song. Her ES bac in her pocket at 18, Filipina packed her bags to settle in Nancy.
From the Music Academy International of Nancy to NRJ Talent
In Nancy, Philippine intends to make her passion for singing and music her future profession. In Lorraine, she joined the Music Academy International, an establishment which saw many candidates from the program "The Voice" such as Lilian Renaud (winner of season 4) and Maximilien Philippe (finalist of season 3). In 2017, she obtained a diploma in the Best Hope category. A few months later, Philippine participates in the NRJ Talent competition. To meet the requirements of the competition (the 2018 edition was a "special cover" edition), the young Frenchwoman decided to reinterpret the hit "Tout va bien" from Orelsan. Faced with several hundred candidates (around 400), Philippine managed to stand out and won the competition sponsored that year by singer Slimane.
In the wake of her participation in the NRJ Talent 2018 competition, Philippine signed her first artist contract with the Mercury label (Stromae, Vitaa, Kendji Girac, etc.). She then recorded her first single, "Sors de ma tête", composed by Renaud Rebillaud (a name that probably evokes something for those who are interested in the career of Kendji Girac or Gims). In this title with pop accents, the young Frenchwoman is interested in romantic relationships. Despite her young age, Filipina already seems to know this feeling of being obsessed by romantic feelings and this inability to get them out of her mind despite a mad desire to end this relationship. Full of confidence, Philippine sees her notoriety grow in the four corners of France, and even beyond our borders. A few weeks after the release of her hit "Sors de ma tête", the Frenchwoman was invited to collaborate with Irish singer Gavin James .
Falling under the spell of the voice of Philippine, Gavin James decides in 2018 to bring the singer to London for a duet. In just one day, the two artists recorded the hit "Always", a title that mixes the language of Shakespeare with that of Molière. For those who do not know Gavin James, remember that he is the author of the album "Bitter Pill" released in 2015 in Ireland. It is also he who managed to seduce Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift who all offered him the opportunity to ensure the first part of their concerts. In "Always", Gavin James and Philippine once again tackle the theme of romantic feelings and this difficulty in turning the page after a breakup.
Already in contact with Slimane during the NRJ Talent competition, Philippine can count on Vitaa's new sidekick to pursue her musical career. After her duet with Gavin James for "Always", the young singer records a second more personal track: "C'est beau, c'est toi" . Behind this song, we find the talent of writing and composition of Slimane, the interpreter of "We two" seeming to take a malicious pleasure since the beginning of his career to write for the other singers. Note on the Philippine side the signing with a new label for this single (Play Two). In the clip that accompanies the song, Philippine reveals contemporary dancer talents that we did not yet suspect.
Building on the success of her first songs, Philippine continued her musical career, taking care not to skip steps. Well surrounded, the original Jurassic woman intends to record a first personal album in which she could finally reveal the full extent of her artistic talent. All that remains is to know the release date of this highly anticipated first album.
