After being leaked on April 2019, “Drunk And Nasty” was finally released on The Life Of Pi’erre 5 with Sharc, an artist from Pi'erre’s label, SossHouse. The track was later re-released as the fourth and last single from the project after it went viral on social media.
Around the 26-second mark, it features a short pause—similar to the one on Playboi Carti’s December 2020 song, “Place,” produced by Pi'erre—used to enhance the experience on its live performances.
On June 18, 2022, Pi'erre revealed that Drake was supposed to appear on the song via Instagram Live, Drake later commented on the situation saying not finishing his verse was his “biggest regret.”
