"IG" (originally titled "Instagram Hoes" or "Mario Kart" by fans) is Pi'erre Bourne's most awaited song between his fanbase, with the song and the beat being hyped up by both Pi'erre through Instagram Live, and by fans through edits and remakes, since 2018.
The song was originally meant for Pi'erre's debut studio album The Life Of Pi'erre 4, but was then lost and remade, appearing on a tracklist for The Life Of Pi'erre 5, though it didn't make the cut once again. It was later said to be releasing as a single after Yo!88's release, but no other news came to light on 2022.
Pi'erre previewed a re-recorded version of the song through Instagram Live on April 21, 2022, while laughing and saying that the song was never coming out. However, as high quality snippets of the song surfaced for the first time in January 2023 due to Pi'erre's iCloud being hacked, the song's release was teased one last time on January 27, 2023, as Pi'erre said on Instagram Live that fans' "favorite song" would be coming out "next month". The artwork for the single was later revealed on Instagram on February 6, 2023, with a release date of February 24, 2023, almost 5 years after the song was originally teased.
