Why haven't I started listening to this band up until now? Their first 3 albums are relentless. Batallions of hate!

I remember seen them live in 2002 with Shaaman, such a killer gig. Ralf is a pretty good guy with an awesome voice. love them

I remember wanting to get into them for a few years. A friend of mine properly introduced me to them. She played Hounds of Justice for me and I loved it! So I started off with Apocalypse. Great album!

Both were decent albums but the symphonic elements felt out of place to me. It felt like that was an element "everybody" embraced and used during the 2000's. I grew up on stuff like Motörhead, AC/DC and twin-guitar bands. I think simplicity and a raw edge in metal is key. Let the guitars do the singing - no need for that classic and fancy stuff. Leave that to Mozart and... Nightwish. But each to their own, of course.

Not a huge fan of "New Religion" and "16.6" (both of which were my first PF albums, ironically) but the rest is some cool stuff. The early albums sound a lot like Judas Priest which I approve of, even if it's somewhat unoriginal, and the newer stuff is more like they let JP and Helloween make a bastard child for them to embrace. Great riffs and Ralf's vocals are simply killer!

I was just about to comment that this band sounds like a Judas Priest/Helloween mashup (Andi Deris years) when I saw your comment. I'm listening through the discography on Spotify (all but New Religion) and everything sounds good to me, but just on a first listen through only a couple songs really stand out per album. Still love the overall sound.

We Walk Without Fear is a very deep song. I think the guys went out of their comfort zone with it, and it turned out really well. My favorite on their new album, which a good album. Also The Sky Is Burning is a powerful ballad.
