Insanely good start to finish; love the paychedeic rock aspects, the unique song structures and instrument usage too! A lot of freat lyricism as well, surprising critics didn't like this initially, it is a MASTERWORK

Takes a few listens to get into but I'm so glad I took the time to let it entice me. Now it's easily top 5 for me.

Well, it was underrated at the time it came out. Maybe I overstepped the mark but if this is "widely considered a classic now" then that's news to me...

played this album to a metaller mate of mine back in 85,you know, tight black jeans iron maiden t-shirt black leather vest,he said "bro that albums a trip!"and bought a copy himself.prince was better than michael jackson in my humble opinion, diversity being the key, musicality and a brain that could juggle a symphony orchestra, instrument by instrument

One of my favorite Prince albums even though it's not as well known as others are. It sounds so different from anything else that anyone, even Prince himself had put out before, and to this day I can still remember my first time listening to it and knowing that I just heard something incredible.
