Perfect album for a dark and stormy spring day, when it's warm out, but the sky is various shades of grey, and there's an eerie haze in the fog. Perfect mood music ❤️

A little different to Different Class but when more you listen more you love it =)

i think this album must have been overlooked because people still wanted the bratty, snide jarvis of the past two albums - but on this album he is much more mature and vulnerable. which yields some beautiful results imo.

Different Class is catchier and fun, but this album definitely is a more ambitious work. Both are great.

It's their best. Captures the feeling of the time and place, and also gives insight into Jarvis's state of mind. It takes more time to appreciate than Different Class, though. Lots of little cynical subtleties.

great thing about Pulp is that there's an album for whichever state you're going through..

Their best album but His 'N' Hers is a close second although Sorted is probably my favourite Pulp track. I thought so long and suddenly i realized i Love Love.

There are so many great b-sides from this album (Laughing Boy, Ladies' Man, The Professional, Cocaine Socialism, End Of The Line mix of This Is Hardcore) that with the right tracklisting it could've been stellar. Still great though!

If they'd ditched TV Movie and I'm A Man in favour of It's A Dirty World and The Professional - this would be 10/10 from me, but as it is I'd say 7.5. "We were brought up on the space race, now they expect ya to clean toilets - when you've seen how big the world in, how can they expect you to make do with this"
