In “The Story Of 007” documentary, the Bond producer Barbara Broccoli said that "Spectre" arrived too late to be used, and that the team had already created the title sequence using "Writing's on the Wall".

This feels like a sequel to Pyramid Song. A real shame it was not used for the movie. Stellar songwriting, Radiohead at its best.

Sure it’s a shame it’s not a James Bond song, but it’s a Radiohead song and that’s excellent.

Can't believe they didn't use it - totally has that classic Bond atmosphere too me.

They should have pulled a Paul McCartney with this one. Fun fact: when he sent them Live and Let Die, they didn't like it, but they used it because hell, it was Paul McCartney! They should have had the same trust in Radiohead and used this. There is a montage on youtube where someone has perfectly edited the opening credits to this song and it is just amazing!
