Rest assured, nobody expects a Swiftie to appreciate a five-star masterpiece. Bless your simple-minded heart.

It must be rather easy to contain if they can’t even contain one of the greatest and most influential albums in rock and metal history.

Possibly the greatest hard rock album ever recorded. (4) A masterpiece, no doubt.

A masterpiece of Hard Rock/Heavy Metal featuring some amazing guitar work by the legendary Ritchie Blackmore and the Heavy Metal incarnate vocals of the immortal Dio!

Amazing album. Brilliant vocal performance, superb riffs (and solos), and excellent drumwork (love the crash, the fills on Tarot Woman and the almost proto-speed metal style on A Light in the Black). Do You Close Your Eyes is probably my least favourite, but I thoroughly enjoy the rest of the album. Not to mention that Stargazer could be argued as the first instance of the 'epic heavy metal' style. 9/10

Ronnie and Richie certainly deserve praise for this masterpiece, but too many people forget Cozy Powell. His drumming is nothing short of barnstorming in this album, quite extraordinary for a mid-70s album (e.g. the double-bass in Light in the Black)
