A brilliant concept--courtesy of God!: Thanks for the wisdom of signing and fostering well this act, Motown--(the late Norman Whitfield, I believe)! As I got older, I realized that not many lead vocalists are better than Rare Earth's: A powerful, brandy-smooth, and beautiful voice--so cleverly, wonderfully, and magically malleable with modern recording techniques--magnificent as well, live, too--a brilliant live album! The concepts, production, recording and everything else proves excellent. A rare, shining expertly-faceted gem from the top-reserve shelf American classic rock and pop music!

One of the best live bands ever, "In Concert" is awesome as hell. Thanks to my dad, who introduced me to them :)

I believe this was the very first white act that was signed to Mowtown back in the late 60s..

Saw them live during their "last hurrah" in the mid-70s, at MacDonald Gym on the Lamar University campus, in Beaumont, Texas. One of the first concerts I ever attended -- I didn't even have my driver's permit. We crammed five people into a friend's Chevy Vega, for the half-hour drive to the show. It was an amazing concert.
