‘Beg For Me’ is an R&B dance-pop song that mixes hard hitting trap bass and hi-hats with smooth, dreamy synths and both a banging and swaying percussion in order to create a versatile track.
The song portrays a dominant and assertive female character who demands submission and respect from her partner. The verses throughout the song imply an intense mutual attraction, meanwhile the protagonist has the instinct to make their partner fall deeper into the allure of the protagonist’s control. The members refer to themselves as a ‘hunter’ and a ‘boss’, while implying the other person in the relationship is their prey.
The track overall explores themes of female dominance, self-confidence, and a sensual and intense dynamic between two individuals.
