I couldn't disagree more. I grew up with The Lamb and I really love this tribute. The arrangements are beautiful. The tracks in the original Lamb that can be considered as fillers find in this tribute a new life. D'Virgilio's voice is perfect. My only complaint is the faint American accent. But then Rael must've had a slight accent too. Simply brilliant !

I'm a big fan of this tribute. The Lamb has always been one of my favorite albums by anyone, not just Genesis. Honestly, I reach for this tribute version now more often than I do the original! The vocals are not "poor pop opera"... the instrumentation is not "crass"... the arrangements are not "banal".

I thought on hearing the first track or two that this was OK (ish) - at least not unlistenable to. But on further listening: D’Virgilio's vocals are poor pop opera, some of the instrumentation is crass, the arrangement often banal, the whole thing sounds like a bunch of session musicians trying to make a buck from ripping off someone else's work.. All in all, an uninspired and uninspiring copy - but a little of the original shines through the dross.

Excellent tribute. Close to the original yet modernize it with acoustic instruments. Fantastic !
