Evolution serves as Rich Amiri’s third project, which released on March 17, 2023 as the follow-up to his June 2022 extended play, For The Better.
On August 5, 2022, Amiri released the highly anticipated “Can’t Die” as the first promotional single, followed by a Declan Kyle-directed music video hours later.
On August 31, 2022, Amiri previewed an early tracklist of the project through his Instagram story, which featured ten tracks. Three of the ten tracks showcased would later be removed and replaced.
On September 16, 2022, Amiri released “Dirty Money” as the second promotional single for Evolution. The track released alongside a Tycho Burwell-directed music video.
On February 24, 2023, Amiri released the third promotional single “Poppin,” assisted by the only feature on the project, Lil Tecca. The track would be later followed with a music video directed by Declan Kyle.
Amiri later took to Instagram to announce what would be the final tracklist on March 8, 2023, which would feature twelve songs—including “Dirty Money” and “Can’t Die” as bonus tracks.
One week before the album’s release, the fourth and final promotional single, “Salty” released on March 10, 2023 alongside a Declan Kyle-directed music video.
