Lonesome Town, and all of Ricky Nelson's tunes were and are so deeply felt. He, Elvis Presly, and Johnny Horton (of Whispering Pines and Battle of New Orleans fame, but who tragically died in a plane crash in 1961) all had deep, heartfelt music and songs. Elvis had a few, serious movies, and each one's music was deep and full of the most profound spirit and soul. Johnny Cash also. So this is my toast to four of the most profound singers, and one to an unbelievably talented actor. When Elvis did the silly movies, I cried for him, and when I read a biograph of his life by either his wife or daughter, Priscilla Presley, elvis wanted to be a serious acter with movies that would have reached others as his song 'In The Ghetto' did. So hats off and flowers to each of you. All are worth listening to their deep, socially caring ballads.
