My fave Ride record. Andy Bell was ripping on lead guitar and writing his best songs imo. A little too rock 'n' roll for the sulking shoegazer crowd

Haven't listened to this in quite a long time. Amazing album, so underrated. I know it is heresy, but I think it might be their second best.

I sort of put listening to this off based on the entire "Tarantula should never have been made" thing. I actually like it a bit. It warrants a lot more than all of the bad press it's gotten.

I quite like this tbh, not up there with the rest of their albums but still better than most stuffs going around now. Deep inside my pocket & Castle on the Hill, personal favs.

Really do agree there. It is not all bad. I like Black Nite Crash & Dawn Patrol. It was good to hear Loz Playing drums again. I was also glad to finally hear a studio version of Walk On Water after hearing Mark and Andy play in live on Rodney On the Roq prior to Carnival of Light being released.

This album really isn't as bad as it's thought to be - sure, it's no Going Blank Again, but songs like Black Nite Crash make it more enjoyable than you'd think. (Castle on the Hill is a completely piss-poor track though. Ride's worst ever.)
