I think this is a step above "Appeal to Reason", but there's still some dull filler here. Still, I quite like the fast punky songs on this album - "Architects", "Disparity by Design", "Satellite" and "Survivor Guilt" are all great. "Midnight Hands" is a solid hard rock song with some really nice riffing, and "This Is Letting Go" is a catchy and energetic piece of pop punk. Not as all-around solid as the first four albums of course, but there are some standouts at least.

The quality disparity is higher here than most of their material, but the good songs are PHENOMENAL. It's far form selling out as well, given that the intro to Midnight Hands sounds like something that would've been used in The Killing Tree. Satellite, Architects, Make it Stop (September's CHildren), A Gentleman's COup and Survivor GUilt are all just as awesome!

I can't help but think that this album is SO. FREAKING. BORING. I don't want to call it bad because it still has much quality, but I always forget that I'm listening to it and it almost feels like one, really long, song. It's more evident when you listen to the albums in order. I still haven't gotten the last album because of this. :/

I will no longer consider Rise Against as punk rock band but simply as ROCK band. Fuck, punk or not, these guys make amazing albums one after another. I never disliked Endgame in the first place, but didn't like it just as much as their previous releases. However, this album has kept growing on me through the time and I must say it's just as good as the other albums.

The worst album they released so far. The music became slower, less sophisticated, lighter. Some sort of easy listening I think. I tend to believe they are capable of creating more interesting songs. Still, all the bands have the moments of glory and failure. I hope their next CD will be more energetic and less depressive.

For me it's more of a good read than a good listen. Still some good songs. And I can't understand how they always reject the songs that I like the most from the standard songlist, lol.

It sounds like a cross between TS&TW and Appeal To Reason. However it hasn't the catchiness of the latter (yes i loved Appeal To Reason, though it was poppy), nor the strong kickass songs of the former. It's just... boring. I feel like they're writing the same melody/chorus over and over again. I don't know what happened to this band when they were writing/recording Endgame. Such an uninspired and soulless album...

At the start I would like to say that I listen to Rise Against from many years now. I really was waiting for that album from couple years and i actualy found it to be very dissapointing. I did not found a single song that i could say is even close to songs like Dancing For Rain, Prayer of The Refugee or Ready To Fall. In my opinion its dull and soulless. I'm completely broken at this point because i really love Rise Against from the very bottom of my heart. I cant even emphasize how much sadness this cd brought. I actually have ears and can hear why people might like it because of really high quality of content in it. I just fell that the change in style kills what I personaly loved about the band. Rise Against songs were always on my playlist and everytime when one jumped on I just turned my head around to the pc. When i put on this album after like 5 minutes I even forgot it's playing. After couple of minutes i realised that and tryed again and again and again. For me its sad.

I don't know whether I prefer Tim's old aggressive vocals or the nice clean tone he uses in this album :3

Tim's voice sounds shot on this album after all the touring for their other awesome albums...

Judging by the samples here for this album, my first thoughts were that it sounded like a bunch of songs that couldn't make it onto their previous album, which.. yeah. Anyway, I recently decided to check out the full album, and.. Very impressed. :)

Make It Stop is my favorite song. It is about damb time somebody wrote a song like this. I am a lesbian and at times still as an adult it gets hard to be out. This song helps me to keep strong through the homophobic storms.

Siren Song is still their overall best album ever. But, I may have put Endgame at a very close second. One of my absolute favorite bands and they keep putting out VERY relevant music and quality music at that. Highly recommend anyone having this CD physically, in their collection.

Not a bad album, at least there's quite a progression compared to the hideously mediocre Appeal To Reason. What really does bother me with this album though is the abundance of completely unnecessary and tedious slow parts during the songs (not to mention "Wait For Me", which actually is one whole tedious slow part in itself and their first really redundant song ever). Just think of that "How long will we fall for this"-line at the end of "A Gentlemen's Coup", serving no function at all for the rest of the song. It gets even worse when generally great songs like "Endgame" and "Midnight Hands" get stopped short when the chorus starts oozing away (although the chorus of the second is almost rehabilitated by the background vocals of Matt Skiba ^^). A little more dynamic and speed really wouldn't have hurt this album. Nevertheless, there still are quite a few memorable songs, I especially like "Disparity By Design"...although this might just be because it reminds me of better days. :D
