"Hey man, I can hear you... and it's not the radio... your voice still echoes through me... I can hear you daddio..." <3 Named my all black kitten "Ira" after your middle name as tribute. I call him my little Catman in Black Slacks. He is breathtakingly handsome and very much a charmer, just like his namesake. Rest easy and fly high, you will ALWAYS be remembered and cherished, late & utterly great Robert Ira Gordon <3

Rest In Peace to this wonderful man and absolute legend. I love you with all my heart and so badly wanted to meet you. Maybe in another life. I will listen to your music forever and you will live on in my heart forever. <3

Can't believe my eyes and ears! Streamable "Fire"! But still dozens of the best songs left beyond the bounds of last.fm...

When at last he'll become streamable?! Such a great artist, but all his best is still impossible to hear at last.fm!

I saw him performing on Sunday. He did some great songs but you can really tell he's getting older.

Robert Gordon is a fucking GOD who walks among us. The number of listeners on last.fm is a totally tragic thing... not only for Robert Gordon, who would probably appreciate some more LP sales and kale generally.... but for the mass of people who either don't know or don't care. He's the shit, the real live shit, walking the walk and all that. Awesomeness personified.

The man deserves more credit than he is given. Talented performer, excellent vocalist, best taste in guitar players and without him I doubt there would have been the rebirth of Rockabilly in the late 70's and early 80's...including the Stray Cats. The Pointer Sisters wouldn't have had their hit with the Springsteen penned Fire, either - as it was written for Gordon and Wray to play. RG Roolz!
