this melody reminds me on those music boxes with ballerina spinning around.. balerina is in this case 'singer' ....Robyn the one and only!

ROBYN is fantastic!! What a great artist... At first glance I thought she'd be another Scandinavian singer who's trying to be a cute, whispery-voiced "artist" who's out there because the world loves a Swedish blonde... I'm so glad I was wrong and gave her a fair listen...she's such a talent.

Wow. It's so crisp and clear. I usually don't like foreign music because the words all seem crammed together when you don't understand them, but this is gorgeous..

She sang this song at the memorial of the victimes of the tsunami in 2005. During the recording of this album the producer bought a mic used by Monica Zetterlund to record this exact song. Roby'n says that a "invicible circle" was completed and that it felt natural to put this on the album. http://www.svd.se/kulturnoje/nyheter/robyn_4848921.svd

I think it's so cool that Robyn puts this song on a modern dance/pop album in 2010! The lyrics, and maybe parts of the melody (nobody can tell for sure), has its origins in the sixteenth century

It's an old, swedish, traditional song, and I just love Robyn's version of it. Even though I'm from Sweden I don't really know what the lyrics are all about (too many ancient words and expressions, haha). The title basically means "I know of a lovely rose" Here are the lyrics with a pretty decent english translation : http://www.evatoller.pp.se/DOCS/translation/jagvetendejligrosa.txt
