When this comes on, the first few seconds always make me think it's going to be LLoyd Cole's "Brand New Friend" and then it's not and then I have to skip it 'cos I much prefer the earlier less smooth Roxy. Sorry!

I wouldn't have known who Roxy Music was if it wasn't for Duran Duran. Thank you Simon, John, Nick, Roger, & Andy.

By 1979 and 'Manifesto' Roxy had become more of a Ferry backing group than the original force that they were in the 1972-75 period (up to 'Love is the Drug'). Ferry had of course always been the dominant force - particularly after Brian Eno left - but they still produced some good singles like this before succumbing entirely to Bryan's solo AOR career.
