Kwon Sohee (권소희) (born April 13, 1993 in Busan, South Korea), better known by her artist name SAAY, is a Korean R&B artist under Universal Music. She is a former member of girl group EvoL and debuted as a soloist with her first digital single “THE ZONE” in 2017.

SAAY's debut album was released in 2018. With her first full-length album, ‘CLAASSIC‘, R&B singer-songwriter and performer SAAY reinterprets ’60s-’90s pop, R&B, and soul music. She received support from Punchnello, Crush, and more. Along with the LP, its title track’s music video has come out.

SAAY debuted in July last year with the single ‘CIRCLE (Feat. Tish Hyman)‘, followed by ‘SWEATY (Feat. CRUSH)‘, ‘COLD VIEW‘, and ‘ENCORE‘–all pre-releases off this album.

The pop, R&B, and soul music of the ’60s-’90s has influenced SAAY’s own music a lot, especially artists like The Jackson 5, Brandy, Lauryn Hill, or Prince. In 18 tracks, she reinterpreted their classics in her own way, showing her will to be a bridge between the old school and the present.

By using smooth storytelling and four interludes that function as seamless transitions between the songs (and even between their chords), SAAY aims to maintain a classic style. The album is built in a way that gives the listener the impression of having watched a movie or read a novel.

In this fast-paced world, SAAY hopes that her full-length album may be of comfort or of motivation to someone who feels tired.
