I think it's structure is it's only low point tbh, Could do with some serious track reshuffling

Scott 4 gets all the plaudits, but this album is on par with it. It’s simply amazing

Sounds so dizzyingly lush and matches up perfectly with the melancholy it drives to— poignant fairytales told masterfully.

Really one of the most depressing records ever made, just about every song is to do with someone who didn't get treated well by life at all and are lamenting on lost time and the few good memories they have. It just has this complete sense of hopelessness haunting the whole thing, while Scott 4 may be Scott's 60s masterpiece by the numbers Scott 3 is a journey into a place we all fear we're going to end up at.

Scott 3 is a bit overrated IMO. The run of songs from Butterfly to Winter Night don't do much for me, but I don't deny that the first 5 and last 4 tracks are some of his very best work.

@TylerSymes - I think you're giving 1 & 2 short shrift, but this one and 4 are definitely his best albums, I'd say. He really went into the stratosphere with these two records.

GODDAMMIT SOMEONE PLEASE CHANGE THE ALBUM ART ON HERE! this odd almost-sepia contrast looks so ugly on my charts and feels inferior next to all the other album covers

ya know, it'd be just great if we could a version of this beautiful album cover on here that doesn't look so pale and discolored!!

Maybe his best album. Ludicrously underrated and overlooked. But I'm preaching to the converted here, huh?
