Cosmotron is Skank's 6th studio album, released in 2003. The conception of the album was heavily influenced by British pop groups such as the Beatles and by Clube da Esquina ("Corner Club", a Brazilian music artists collective, originating in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais). Cosmotron is considered to be one of the most mature album by the band in terms of production and composition.
The first single off the album, "Dois Rios", is still one of the band's most popular songs to date. With lyrics by Nando Reis and music composed by Samuel Rosa and Lô Borges, the song climbed the Brazilian pop charts, mixing the Beatles with local musical inheritance.
Cosmotron won the Latin Grammys as the Best Brazilian Rock Album in 2004.
