1) Skein is a Finnish metal band.
2) Skein is an electro/IDM artist who released on Process,, Vertical Form & Powers of Eight between 1999 and 2009.
1) Since its formation in 2004, Skein has been all about combining heavy guitar riffs and atmospheric arrangements with a passion to create something meaningful and new. Now, finally with a complete and strong lineup, this Finnish Tampere-based alternative metal five-piece is hungrily waiting to bring its music to larger audiences both live and via records.
The 2012 EP "Children of Light" tells a story set in a world where human race has been exiled to live underground. The EP describes the journey of a people set to claim their place on earth, at any cost, lead by blind faith and those willing to take advantage of it.
Bands debut album "Of Wings Unfolding" was released in January 2014 and can be downloaded for free from http://skeinband.bandcamp.com/ and streamed from the most popular services such as Spotify.
