Thunderforge is the third album from Latvian pagan band Skyforger. It was released in 2003 by Folter Records from Berlin.
After split with Mascot Records who proved to be totally selfish enterprise, it was a big relief to get good working label and band often expressed in interviews that this change came for good. Skyforger soon embarked on fully fledged tours / festivals and took Europe by surprise, where strength of the new album and extensive gigging firmly established Skyforger's name as one of the leading acts on worldwide Pagan metal scene.
Thunderforge was again done as the concept album, this time band explored various subjects connected with ancient Latvian mythology, pantheon of pagan gods and local heathen customs. Musicwise album is not that fast and aggressive as the previous ones; rather band goes more mid-tempo ways keeping listener amused by adding lots of the folk instruments to create great melodies and the whole atmosphere, which band calls simply - pure Baltic pagan metal!
