"I believe Israel has been left with no alternative, and that there is no 'right' thing left to do, only what has to be done, however unpleasant and difficult it may be." ~ Steven Wilsonstein. Also according to him, Hamass is the only enemy, way to ignore the imbalance of power between both sides and the history behind it... https://left.eu/app/uploads/2020/06/pic-1.jpg

He evolves, he’s creative, he is passionate. An artist I truly appreciate so much. His evolution so far has been wonderful to see and I’m so excited whenever anything new comes out. Tied with Thom Yorke as my favourite artist of all time.

Tolerance only towards the tolerant. The things mentioned are highly intolerant and borderline fascist. Use your brain, pal. It's not that difficult.

I always wonder what this cult of woke alt-right peabrains talk about on the internet. Also if we are talking about intolerance then steven wilson is a prime example of a low key racist and zionist asshole

Interesting. I never talk about politics on Last.fm but you think I'm alt-right? Far-left retardation confirmed. I am and have always been for a maximum of civil liberties. Do whatever the fuck you want as long as it's not against the law or hurting anyone else. The Cult of Woke is the opposite of that. They want to force their beliefs onto others and leave nothing but scorched earth. Current-day Hollywood and modern gaming are two prime examples. Educate yourself about grifters like Sweet Baby Inc and their deliberate destruction of things they don't like.

Apparently, at least if Wikipedia is accurate, Rock Bottom was written exclusively by Ninet. Does SW have any other tracks on any of his records where he wasn't a songwriter? Not counting Blackfield. Only two I know of off the top of my head are Light Mass Prayers (Maitland) and Black Dahlia (Barbieri), but those were PT songs written by other band members. Wouldn't have expected it on a solo record!

I can't. Whenever I listen to Stevie Willie, all the leatherdaddies suddenly appear out of nowhere and I end up getting trapped in a homosex orgy. If I try touching my Svöllen-Böehner, it's impossible because it's deeply lodged in another man's butt, so I try touching his böehner but his böehner is also stuck in another man's butt... and so on. Yesterday I knocked on the door of a gay bar, a man showed up, he had long brown hair and wore glasses. He spoke with a British accent, said his name was Steven. A white milky substance was dripping from his chin. I asked if this was the Blue Oyster Bar, and he said "no, this is the Lodge of the Freegaysons™". I asked if I could enter but he told me he wouldn't let me in unless I brought some underage twinky boys for him to sacrifice, true story

This is just an fyi for the visitors of this shoutbox. People, you've got yourself a maniac here who's got multiple profiles talking to herself and liking her own shouts through her own profile/ other profiles. I am not even kidding, because this is not funny at all, yet for this insane person these shenanigans clearly seem like a fun thing to do. Think about the free time at hand and the level of joblessness! It has got to be one of the saddest things I've ever witnessed and something I didn't know this lowlife could stoop down to. SchizoMayunly, imlaughingatye and who knows what else this poser is shouting as on this site. I'm entirely sure it's the same story on lots of other sites also. Beware, and quite simply, ignore.

You have options, grampa: you can pour some hot oils lotions and creams over the records to unglue them... or you can hire a leatherdaddy, place the albums on the floor between you and him, and then frot him violently while letting all the hawt sweat drip down on the albums (but be careful not to jizz on them, otherwise the problem will only get worse)

Has anyone noticed just how frequently this dude references cigarettes in his lyrics? I think he might have a serious problem. "Inside the ghost of a parting, And no one is left, just the cigarette smoke" "The smog and cigarettes, Poisoning the well for those below alone" "You see there's something wrong here, I'm sorry if I'm not clear, Can you stop smoking your cigar?" "Underwater, My cigarette won't light" "We get a room and in her gloom, She lights a cigarette" "Cigarette in my ass, burns my rectum fast" "Tangled up in my last cigarette for a hundred years, I'm not as much of a slave to it as I appear" "A cigarette on a summer night, Like the short lived soul of the man inside" "I'd like to light a cigarette but I cannot, The lighter's dead and the gas has been cut off" Might be even more, but that's just off the top of my head

It is not, sadly for the Schizo. It might just be an emphasised and underlined in bold cumfession featured in his/ her personal diary in all seriousness. Although I'm suspecting he/ she prefers long and thick 8 inch Swedish cigars/ dicks shoved up his/ her ass from the looks of it.

I was beginning to lose faith in his songwriting with his last two solo records, C/C, and then the largely underwhleming singles he released leading up to the album release. But now that the full album is out, he's pulled me right back in. It's so intricate, sonically gorgeous and varied. Loving it.

I avoided all singles after Economies of Scale to try and listen to it fresh as one piece. Immediate thoughts - Inclination into What Life Brings is a shite start, but Impossible Tightrope and Staircase are great. Others definitely have potential to grow on me over time. It feels more coherent than TTB or C/C, and better songwriting than TFB. This could be a solid album?

I've posted this elsewhere and thought some of you might enjoy reading it: Full disclosure - I did three tabs of acid yesterday. I had it planned for a long time. It was a solo trip while house sitting for a family member in a beautiful setting under the full moon (I was in and out of house when I needed). To be honest I didn't even know when the album is out as I've been gradually losing interest is SW over past couple of years as I felt his songwriting was getting worse and worse. I think I noticed here that the album is out "now", well, at least in New Zealand. So I thought - hey, let's fire up the VPN and use this huge audio system this house has and spice up the coming trip with some new Wilson.

It was such a coincidence (?) that the album dropped that very day. I've gotta say that a record about endless escherian staircase and acid is the weirdest combo in the best way possible. When the track The Harmony Codex came on I was absolutely entranced. I've become part of the song or the other way around and it was so beautifully disorienting. It's such an intricate layered detailed composition based on such a simple theme… I mean this is something else. You can really feel the endless looping stairs. I can't fathom how that layered arpeggio works to achieve this. I mean I think I know how it "works" I just can't fathom how one could think of endless stairs and translate this imagery into instrumental music. As a musician myself I just appreciate this very elegant solution which is 50:50 based on composition and production/sound design/mixing. Beautiful beautiful piece.

Anyway, sorry for my possibly incoherent words, I'm in the afterglow phase and my mind is still a little bit scattered. I can't comment on the whole album as it needs repeated (sober, lol) listens but I came back to the THC song several times during that night and today as well. That one definitely stands out and makes me believe in SW again.

CiroArgus - I gotta check the soundtrack out! Also regarding acid - I haven't done that in years, certainly not above the "recreational dose". This time it was different and I needed it I guess. I felt stuck in my life to be honest and I knew this might help. And it did, well, we'll see how and if I manage to integrate the findings correctly.

Can't help but feel the four tracks released so far sound like stuff he did dozen times before just slightly worse. I mean even if the songwriting isn't up to his former standards (and it hasn't been for a while) I'm usually grabbed by the sound design/production. Not here though. Apart from Impossible Tightrope I'm hearing really bland and stripped mixes feeling more like demos. The interesting thing is that it makes me appreciate TFB more. Some of the TFB outtakes sound better and are more interesting than the singles (minus IT I guess). I'm not sure why this particular release hypes Atmos so much because I can't imagine how these minimal mixes would benefit from spatial audio. But that might be a lack of imagination on my end. Or maybe the mixes sound excellent in Atmos but don't translate to stereo well.

He usually makes his solo album within the same vein as his current remix projects, so it seems. He did prog albums when doing the KC/Yes/JT remixes, he did pop albums when doing the TFF remixes, etc. Not sure what remixes he's working on now, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was doing progressive shit again, given how "Impossible Tightrope" turned out. Sounds like something that could have been on GfD
