“LALALALA”, titled “락 (樂)” in Korean (lit. rock) is the lead-single and second track from Stray Kids’s eighth extended play 樂-STAR. The song and music video were released alongside the album on November 10, 2023.
The song was written entirely by Stray Kids’s production team 3RACHA, working on composition and arrangement with their main collaborator VERSACHOI, alongside German hip hop producer duo Cubeatz, and Argentinian record producer Luis Bacqué.
“The track blends popularised phonk sounds, afrobeats-based rhythm, and melody centered around a distorted bass, to provide a unique feel and exhilarate listeners. The lyrics use the word ’rock’ to highlight various wordplay throughout, and the repetition of the phrase ‘LALALALA' in the chorus, alongside the rock elements make it addictive and powerful. As the name of the song suggests, we wanted to create exciting music with an atmosphere that everyone can enjoy together, and we sing of our determination to continue our rock, no matter what troubles or adversities there are." —Stray Kids
