Biography

Sue Denim is a pseudonym of Suzanne Powell (b. 12 Mar 1977, UK - aka Sue and The Unicorn), best known as half of band Robots in Disguise. Her solo recording début was with Sue and The Unicorn's Pick Me Up, on compilation "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" (Apr 2010, Araknid). Sue's début, and latest, album is "Sue Denim and the Unicorn" (aka "And The Unicorn" - 13 Aug 2012, Superhealthy).

Sue met Delia Gaitskell (aka Dee Plume), when studying at the University of Liverpool. They formed Robots in Disguise and recorded the EP "Mix Up Words and Sounds" (2000, Splinter).

Sue Denim used to date ex band member of Sneaker Pimps, and now front man of IAMX, Chris Corner. They both have tattoos on each others wrists of their surnames; Chris' says "Denim" and Sue's says "Corner". Denim and Corner later separated. During their relationship Sue Denim contributed her voice to Chris Corner's bands Sneaker Pimps and IAMX, with her voice appearing on "M'aidez" "Grazes" (Sneaker Pimps) and "You Stick It In Me" "Missile" "Skin Vision" "White Suburb Impressionism" and "After Every Party I Die" (IAMX).

Sue is also a model for the London based jewellery company Tatty Devine. Two necklaces and a set of rings were produced to promote Robots In Disguise and their new singles.
