Look at Me Go is the second installment of a trilogy of pieces that started with Number One Of Three, an album released in 1998 by Michael Gira’s project The Body Lovers. It is exclusive only to the bonus track special edition of My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope to the Sky. Later down the line, the trilogy would be complete with the release of The Beggar, specifically on the track The Beggar Lover (Three).
According to Michael Gira from the official Young God Records website:
“I took instrumental passages and single sounds from the ‘My Father…’ album and tortured them and stretched them and added other sounds and orchestrations and strangled that mess until it was forced into a new form called ‘Look At Me Go’. The process was similar to what I did with my Body Lovers/Body Haters project. In a sense this is actually The Body lovers #2 of 3.”
