King Crimson emulates the ending of this on “One More Red Nightmare”, closing the first side of the Red album. Robert Fripp supposedly has an encyclopedic knowledge of Beatles trivia.

This is the one that made me pay more attention to the Beatles, an amazing song

Aww yiss, Johnny boy liked his women thick. You know, because it's harder for them to run away.

lol true, but we can't blame the beatles for the formats that came after them. it's funny on tape/CD, but this song closes side one on the LP

yeah it does work surprisingly well for what it is, but imagine that with a 10 second pause to get up and flip the record over. a moment of silence, with the big rock section still ringing in your ears. then a few seconds of quiet vinyl crackle followed by george’s opening guitar line. pretty awesome – and that’s how tens of millions of people experienced it for years

came here to say. it's great, of course, but they should've started the final build at 3:44...the return of the verse there is a snooze
