They called "A Concious Creation" phase one, so maybe we'll get another album out of them

Fantastic new album. Riffs are absolutely killer throughout (not that anyone should expect anything less from Corchado, one of the most dependable songwriters in death metal), and as great as their instrumentals are, it’s great to have Corchado screaming again. Most of this material wouldn’t have felt out of place on The Spell of Retribution or Farseeing the Paranormal Abysm – it’s remarkable how consistent this band has remained over a 30-year career. Yet inexplicably, they remain one of death metal’s best kept secrets. Here’s hoping they get a bit more of the exposure they deserve with their new record.

Hands down the best death metal band ever. None of their albums are short of amazing riffs, guitar leads and solos. Stellar songwriting which is proven by the fact that they can write hour long albums and at no point does their music get boring. Progressive without being gimmicky, technical without resorting to wankery and melodic without being cheesy. What more could you ask for?

i really can't consider the first three albums from an "extreme metal band'. maybe power metal on steroids... but it's too doomish, too, to label it as power, so... for me it's a kind of gloom experimental metal in the start

I guess I haven't listened to enough female-fronted gothic metal to appreciate that.

It isn't cause I just stopped discussing about it. Just giving a piece of disapproval.

I bought the new album awhile back, but apparently I never got around to listening to it before. It's good! Maybe not quite as good as the couple of albums before it, but that's a high bar to clear. I don't really miss the vocals that much, because Farseeing was almost half instrumental anyway, and honestly, the instrumentals were some of the best songs on the album. Apart from the lack of vocals, Conscious Creation sounds pretty much exactly like any other album they've done in the past twenty years or so - long songs, killer riffs for days, great bass, guitar, and drums. The Chasm has to be one of the most consistent death metal acts out there.

It's called A Conscious Creation from the Isolated Domain - Phase I, So would expect a second phase to be released someday. I hope so, because this band is incredibly addictive.

Miss the vocals but fuck it, still a great piece of interesting riffs but not better than Farseeing in my opinion

Upon first listen it sounds like a thin demo version of an album. Honestly had this been released under a different name I would've thought it was just two guys who were desperate to release their debut. Had that've been the case I would've thought" hmmm not bad. they might end up being really good in few years" Paradoxically, as ridiculous a concept as an instrumental death metal album may be, I don't know if vocals would've made that much of difference given that the instrumental portions of Farseeing were much more enjoyable to me than any of this record. Ahhh well, the uberfangirls will no doubt be cumming buckets over this for sure! ;)

I fail to see how am a so-called elitist simply because I called some ppl fangirls. newsflash, I am a fangirl of several bands, such as Opeth(Pissst, as in, I have Heritage on vinyl. ewwww) Gorguts. Fates Warning. Mastodon(seen em 6 times.) not to mention I've seen Dream Theater 3 times and I marked out when they played g'night kiss because it's the most hilariously gay song ever. But yeah.. that fangirl stuff weeeeew. that's some elitist shit right there. Also, The Machination of Dementia is probably one of my top played albums, whether it's Death Metal is entirely up for debate. but lets say you're right and say that it's Pure instrumental DM! Name me 10 other albums that would prove me wrong. Or better yet, lets have a band like Autopsy or Immolation release an album without vox, cause that wouldn't detract from the overall exp whatsoever. but anywhoo, hope this response made your dick swell with pride fangurl :)

"that cd reissue is unavailable already" Typical of The Chasm. This band is one of my absolute favourite bands ever, you can't imagine how I adore it, but if there's something I hate from a band is when you have a bad time trying to get some of their stuff. The only CDs I currently own are Procreation of the inner temple reissue on vic records and their "Awaiting the Day of Liberation" demo which costed me a fucking fortune and led me to serious problems. I decided I will never buy anything else of these guys no matter how bad I want it. Their stuff is so fucking expensive and hard to find I simply stopped giving a shit.

By the way, anyone knows what are they up to? I've heard that Viterbo left the band and their last album was released six years ago...

Yes, the remastering of their first three albums was such an excellent idea, not a big fan of remastering classic albums, but those ones definitely needed it.
