If 25 O'Clock was actually released in like 1967 it would be one of the greatest psychedelic albums of the 60s..like one place ahead of S.F. Sorrow.

The Dukes Of Stratosphear - [1987] - Chips From The Chocolate Fireball - XTC created the Dukes of Stratosphear almost on a lark, as an excuse to play the kind of music they grew up listening to and playing. Listening to Chips is like sifting through a '60s psychedelia bin at a good used record store. -.-.-.-. om hari om ..... ॐ

What a superb album is 'Chips From The Chocolate Fireball' . It's still one of my favourites of ALL time !!! Psychedelia at its best (even by 1985-1987 standards). Recommended !!!

Funny that I cannot stand the Beach Boys unless XTC writes a Beach Boy song: "Pale and Precious."

Brainiac's Daughter is my number 1 favorite song of all time. I think XTC should have stuck with this. I like it more than most of their work as XTC

I'm The Mole From The Ministry... And you'll all bow down to me... I'm the mole in your potting shed... I'm the bad thoughts inside your head! I must have listened to it a dozen times or more in the last 32 hours. Fantastic!

I love them more as The Dukes than as XTC, they captured so perfectly the psychodelic style (including costumes and musical instruments!). Recently mi brother bought 25 O'Clock and Psonic Psunspot, they are both incredible (as well the compilation of these, Chips From The Chocolate Fireball). Gorda malagradecida :@

I'm going to buy both reissues on CD to get the remastered sound quality in a lossless format. Plus, I've been waiting for "Nicely Nicely Jane" to be officially released for years; I was disappointed when it never arrived as a Fuzzy Warble. (And third, Andy et al. deserve the money, esp. as they got the rights from Virgin and have released them on Ape.)
