Funny how Paul uses the samples (a wide range of genre, musicians, etc.) he so hated. Think early hip-hop's use of Beatles music. Then he maxxxxes it out on SOSF. Way to rethink it Sir Paul. I think your taste is 'inferior atmosphere" Awesome!

Feels goofy to say it but I love Electric Arguments more than ANY of Paul's post-Beatles work. I feel like John would have agreed maybe

<etherealbeats> I quite agree, it sounds nothing like paul but every bit like youth / the orb, rushes is great!

Electric Arguments is my favorite post-Beatles album from Paul. Very spontaneous, with Paul ad libbing lyrics doing a song every day, very Beat-like. Fantastic, I hope he continues experimenting

Electric Arguments is the best McCartney album ever! He has experimented with many new sounds, but this just stands out above the rest. Kudos, Sir Paul (:

This is excellent. People aren't gonna like this, but I think that Youth has made this album what it is. Never been a fan of Paul's solo stuff but with Youths touch it seems to work.

i'd like this band no matter who it was making it. it just sounds different and it's just amazing.

stephaloney, i disagree. i think if this were from someone no one had heard of, it would sell more than it does. however, because it's a paul album, people discard it as a gimmick and just "oh that guy from the beatles still makes music how cute."; if critics actually took this album seriously it could have been one of the best of 2008 but society had to demean it to less than it was

half the people only like The Fireman because it's something from Paul. but if it was from some other person, most of the people probably wouldn't like this music. just saying.

listening to this for the first time, I'm glad to see that Sir Paul is still the man. So consistent. One of the greatest of any generation.
