They use a lot of Slayer riffs, along with Groove elements. Thrash metal is more present here.

Can someone please split the similar names into two distinct bands that they are? "Haunted" is not "The Haunted"!

Big fan of Revolver, Dead Eye and Versus.... Rediscovering the first 3 albums and the controversial Unseen album... Just saw a recent and very open interview with Dolving about the period from 2009-2012... Apparently he was on a lot of meds and painkillers because of complications of a fall on his back at a concert around 2009. Damn, I do get now that ongoing pains are serious influencial factors when trying to create an album. That painful atmosphere definitely left a mark on the Unseen album.... Actions Reply 0 votes

My favourite band between the ages of 14 and 17. Still slaps to this day. Dolving was the superior vocalist though.

Explosive, grooving thrash. Loved them live with The Agonist back when Alissa was in the band!

Too sad this band that started off with four killer albums and one solid experimental one ended up in complete mediocrity. I guess Exit wounds was the last gasp of air.

All three albums after Versus aren't worth listening to, in my opinion. I'm only on track three and I'm already bored of "Strength in Numbers" super bland.

WHAT?! Strength In Numbers is as least as good as Versus, which was lackluster as hell. Unseen is just unbelievably shitty, and shouldn't even count as The Haunted album. Exit Wounds was pretty damn good (at least the faster songs like Temptation, My Salvation, Infiltrator, etc...Eye of the Storm and Trendkiller weren't that great).

I actually really love Versus, it was the album that got me into The Haunted. I admit, Strength In Numbers has grown on me a little bit since my original post, but it's still pretty lackluster.

Yeah, I guess it was okay. This new one, however, not good. I think they've long run out of ideas.

Forgive my lack of empathy, oh I just love watching you bleed, the things you do for gold and green - you're so amusing.

Lol @ Generic. Most those albums pre-date all the bands that ripped off At The Gates/The Haunted

I love rEVOLVEr. I also love Unseen which is a departure from previous neo-thrash style to a more alternative / stoner direction. Exit Wounds is a huge letdown for me.

This scrobble redirection is a problem. I listened to excellent Italian psychedelic-doom band "Haunted", without "The" or something else ...

This is why bands should check Last.Fm before choosing a name of a band that is way more established and overall stylistically better (Swedish The Haunted).

My copy of the limited edition of 'Exit Wounds' arrived, so here are my thoughts. The new album is imo as good as 'Made Me Do it' and 'One Kill Wonder', two classics...didn't expect it to be that good after the weaker Versus and the leaving of one of the Bjoerlers and Dolving and the drummer. I grew to like 'Unseen' eventually, but it didn't happen fast, initially I fucking hated that album. 'Exit wounds' is better than the 3 albums that came before it (yes, including 'The Dead Eye'), that's what I think. Shame they couldn't make such albums with Dolving after 'Revolver'...'Exit Wounds' is one of the best albums released this year, gonna be hard for others to top this album as far as thrash goes.
