"Wax Simulacra" is a Grammy Award-winning song by The Mars Volta from the album The Bedlam in Goliath. It had previously been played live by the band under the name "Idle Tooth."
On January 17, 2008, the song was performed on the Late Show with David Letterman. On January 22, the song was performed on MTV Live.
On February 8, 2009, "Wax Simulacra" won the Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance at the 51st Grammy Awards.
