Amusingly the one time I saw The Orb Live @ Cambridge Corn Exchange (19.11.1993). I was slump on the floor tripping (dr feelgood blotter) in a corridor upstairs watching an upright human pig spinning the wheels of steel, when out of a door popped Dr Alex Patterson, who then tripped over my outstretched legs, and I chuckled to myself & thought 'tripping over the tripping'.

One of my favorite things ever is falling asleep to this album and having it influence my dreams + wake me up sporadically.

From time to time it's nice to rediscover that this album is still very cool. Very cehyule indeed. Like in the subtle groove in a chair kind of way, for those times that listening to Daft Punk would force me to grin/twist/bounce more than I maybe had in mind. Earth is fantasic for steady amateur martial arts display based seat twisting with an "I'm just that bit more badder than you" face to be maintained. I belive.

Check out [track artist=Steve Reich]Electric Counterpoint - Fast (movement 1)[/track] and [track artist=Steve Reich]Electric Counterpoint - Fast (movement 3)[/track], it's where some of the samples come from and just as nice.
