New interview with Charles Bickford (Paradise Motel songwriter) up on my blog if anyone would like to take a look. He describes beautifully the making of "Australian Ghost Story." Very interesting guy and an amazing group... (link here) http://guestlisted.blogspot.com/2010/09/charles-bickford-paradise-motel.html

Their new album, Australian Ghost Story is out now - I've reviewed it on my blog if anybody is interested. I'm really pleased these guys have decided to make a new album, sure did miss them. To make it all the better, it's a concept album about the death of Azaria Chamberlain in 1980 at Uluru. Their live to air at RRR is now available for listening - http://www.rrr.org.au/programs/archive/. I'm surprised there are so few listens, still they never really cracked radio, at least in Australia, which makes it even nicer to hear them live on radio I guess.

This is the best news ever. I have never seen them live and when they came to Adelaide (which turned out to be their last gig here) I got a cold and was too sick to go. Shortly after they relocated to the UK then split up. I've regretted that ever since. I hope they find it in them to kick on for a few years to come.

there is a hole in my life where the paradise motel used to be, however, they will remain in my heart forever. i saw every gig they did in melbourne between LOLTK and when they left australia. i once bought tickets to two mid-week frente gigs just to see paradise motel support, i would never miss a gig! BEST LIVE BAND EVER! adalita (magic dirt) and merida collaborated with the seaville project a

In November it was Australian Music Month on Triple J. There was a bit of a 'promo' bit with different Australian artists throughout the month mentioning their favourite bands... and Adalita Srsen from Magic Dirt did a whole big gush over the Paradise Motel... I was so happy and excited when I heard her say it.
