“Somebody to You” was The Vamps' first official single in the United States, featuring American singer Demi Lovato, released in the UK on 2014, May 18th. The song is about disregarding all the things other people chase after (fame, fortune, etc.) and focusing on the person that you love. The verses also tell a story where two people who meet and start to crush on each other without the other one knowing.

“Somebody to You” peaked at number 4 on the UK singles chart, “becoming the group’s fourth successive top 5 single in the United Kingdom.” The Vamps' highest charting ever in Australia was also achieved with “Somebody to You”, when the song peaked to number 14. The highest charting of this song in the world was in Scotland, where it peaked at number 1 on the Official Charts Company’s charts of Scotland.

This song didn’t chart the Billboards Hot 100 in America after its release, though their debut extended play (EP) version of “Somebody to You” charted at #10 on the Billboard Top 200.

The single was certified Gold in the United States, New Zealand, and Canada, Platiumn in Australia, and Sliver in the UK.

The official music video shot in Malibu, California premiered on YouTube on June 9th, 2014, directed by Emil Nava, and has reached 142 million views as of 2018.

The first time Demi Lovato and The Vamps performed the song live was on The Ellen Show on November 11, 2014.
