Rebel, Sweetheart is the latest studio offering from the Wallflowers This is also the first Wallflowers record made working with producer Brendan O'Brien. Released in 2005, "Sweetheart" appears to be a concept album alluding to episodes in the past (Nearly Beloved/I Am A Building), to struggles in the present (Days of Wonder/Back to California), all rounded out at the end of the album where is found an optimistic uncertainty of the future (All Things New Again).

There were two singles from Rebel, Sweetheart. The first is the upbeat meat-and-potatoes rocker, The Beautiful Side of Somewhere. The second single is the haunting centerpiece of Rebel, Sweetheart - God Says Nothing Back.

Other tracks of note include Here He Comes (Confessions of a Drunken Marionette) and From the Bottom of My Heart.

As a side note: Contrary to what some may believe, the word "Rebel" in the title is being used as a verb. Jakob Dylan confirms this in his itunes originals interview.
