This album is a fantastic trip through Todd Rundgren's creative mind as he covers pop, soul, ballads and hard rock, yet somehow still manages to make a cohesive album that never fails to hold my attention despite its length. The fact that Rundgren performed all instruments (with the exception of the songs on side four) like Stevie Wonder in his prime, makes this album even more impressive. Undoubtedly his best album, although "A Wizard, A True Star" is not far behind and highly recommended as well.

At times his singing voice reminds me of early day Freddie Mercury. Cool discovery. :o

This is so fucking awesome! I somehow think some songs are weak, but if you listen the whole thing from the beginning to the end - truly a fantastic journey. I'm just glad, I finally understand. 5/5 without a doubt.
