Biography

Torbjørn Brundtland (10 May 1975) makes up half of the duo Röyksopp. Brundtland was born in Tromsø, Norway. He became interested in electronic music after listening to his older brother's Kraftwerk vinyls and in his early teens started experimenting with synthesizers and drum machines. It wasn't until 1998 that he formed the duo Royksopp with long time collaborator and friend Svein Berge. The pair moved to Bergen and released "So Easy" on Telle Records before being signed up by Astralwerks and releasing their debut album "Melody AM". In 2005 they released the follow up, "The Understanding" and in 2006 the live e.p "Royksopp's Night Out". Their third album has been delayed until first half of 2009. Torbjorn is know for his eccentric character, notably his wry humour.
