“90210” is the fifth track from Travis Scott’s debut album "Rodeo" and his self-professed favorite song on the album.
“90210” is the postal code for Beverly Hills. On the track, Travis waxes lyrical about the different people living there, notably a “porn star girl” who prostitutes herself to pay for her lifestyle and Travis' drug use.
About halfway through the song the beat switches up quite a lot. Travis starts rapping about himself in the first person, in contrast to the first part of the song. Part 2 is also notable for sampling Kanye West’s “Family Business”.
Travis described the overall sound behind the song as trying to capture:
"the vibe from when I travel from Texas to L.A…this song is kinda like the vibe, it’s not aggressive, but it’s kinda like the drug."
On August 18th, 2016, almost a full year after the release of "Rodeo" and this song, Travis released the music video.
