On “LUMBERJACK,” the lead single from "CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST", Tyler boasts his material wealth and addresses his haters over an abrasive beat that contrasts much of his more melodic production. The song's instrumental heavily samples the August 1994 Gravediggaz cut “2 Cups of Blood.”
The song is Tyler’s first officially released single since February 2021’s “Tell Me How,” which was written for a Coca-Cola advertisement. Before that, other than a couple of features, Tyler had remained relatively dormant since dropping the B-sides from his award-winning sixth studio album "IGOR", “GROUP B” and “BEST INTEREST,” in December 2019.
Tyler dropped the track by surprise alongside a similarly-titled cinematic teaser for "CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST".
During the week ending July 2, 2021, “LUMBERJACK” debuted at #93 on the Hot 100. The song had a days-worth of tracking before the end of its first chart week. During the next week, the song peaked at #45.
